Emily Obasohan is a Producer and General Manager working across commercial theatre, new musicals, and live events in the UK.​

 

She is currently the Lead Producer of Wuthering Heights - The Musical, where she leads the production’s development and commercial strategy.

She also serves as General Manager for I’m Every Woman - The Chaka Khan Musical, having supported the production through multiple workshop stages before stepping into the role. Her wider production and management credits include Burlesque The Musical (Savoy Theatre), Hot Mess (Edinburgh Festival Fringe), DIVA: Live From Hell!, Pop Off, Michelangelo!, and the British Youth Music Theatre season, alongside work on productions including Still We Roar (Wembley Stadium), Measure for Measure (Minack Theatre), Sound Clash (Edinburgh Fringe), and pantomime seasons at Harlow Playhouse including Beauty and the Beast and Cinderella.

Emily previously worked with Nouveau Riche Productions, where she was part of the producing team delivering SEEN Festival, a multidisciplinary arts festival championing diverse voices, contributing to two editions of the festival.

Emily’s career has been built across producing, production management, company management, and stage management, giving her a comprehensive understanding of the theatrical process from development through to performance. Earlier in her career, she also worked on productions including The King & I and School of Rock, gaining experience across large-scale touring theatre.

As a producer, Emily is particularly passionate about developing new work and creating theatre that is both artistically ambitious and commercially sustainable, with a focus on projects that broaden representation and connect with contemporary audiences.
